Family Tour Package #3 Itinerary
Day 1
- Tour Guide to receive guests at Orange Roots, provide welcome drink.
- Guests to refresh themselves, set off to see some viewpoints closeby and return to Orange Roots for Lunch.
- After Lunch to proceed to view other places of Tourist interest and to reach the Resort by evening.
- Evening Tea Snacks, Bon fire, Music Program, Buffet Dinner.
- Retire for the day.
Day 2
- Trek to DDRB. Time required 5 hours. Leave the Resort for the trek by 08:30 am.
- Drive to Lumsohphie the head of the steps leading to Double Decker Root Bridge at Nongriat.
- Packed Lunch from the Resort.
- Enjoy a bath in the waterfalls beside the DDRB or a swim in the Natural Swimming Pools in the winter season only when the current is not strong and if the guests are good at swimming.
- Those who wish to proceed to Rainbow Falls to proceed further. They need to have another 3 hours to go to Rainbow Waterfalls and back.
- Return to Resort by evening.
- Evening Tea Snacks, Bon fire, Music Program, Buffet Dinner.
- Retire for the day.
Day 3
- After Breakfast at the Resort, leave the Resort by 08:30 am for Riwai, Mawlynnong, Dawki and Shnongpdeng.
- Distance of 100 km one way. Travel time approx. 3 hours one way.
- Time spent in the four villages approx. 3 hours.
- Lunch at about Mawlynnong / Pongtung.
- Return to Resort by late evening.
- Evening Tea Snacks, Bon fire, Music Program, Buffet Dinner.
- Retire for the day.
Day 4
- These treks can be done from mid-October to March. For other months suitable alternate activity will be suggested.
- Proceed from the Resort by 08:30 am. Drive to Laitduh.
- Do the trek to Wei Sawdong. From there proceed to Nohkalikai Waterfalls.
- Do Khlieh Nohkalikai Trek. Enjoy packed Lunch on the Stream bed.
- Return to Resort by evening.
- Evening Tea Snacks, Bon fire, Music Program, Buffet Dinner.
- Retire for the day.
Day 5
- Relaxed morning at the Resort.
- Morning Walk of an hour through the village or close to the Resort along valley view Road.
- Attire in Khasi Dress.
- Go for a bath in a spring after Breakfast during monsoon season.
- Check Out by 12 noon.
